Through My Eyes.
Eyes open,
Ceiling shatters,
A hundred thousand pieces fall,
Over and over, on and on,
'Til eyelids kiss once again
And darkness washes in.
Feet slide to the cool wood floor,
Contact made,
Hands out - steady-
Step lightly to the door.
Face lifts to glance away,
Blood pump to the temple,
A wave of sea sickness
To accompany the pain.

Crouching on the ground,
Take notes hurriedly
Push up to 2 feet down
Watch the world slide sideways.
Grasp the wall,
Lean back and eyes close,
Cool hands on a burning forehead,
Slide back down to Earth.
Head splits open,
As eyes brim with tears,
Only darkened thoughts
Are welcome in
